Frequently Asked Questions

Q

What is a Vehicle Wrap?

A

A vehicle consists of a design that is developed, printed on special vinyl wrap and laminated, and finally installed or “wrapped” on a vehicle. The wrap is applied directly to the vehicle. The application is so precise it is often mistaken for a custom paint job.

Q

What is a Partial Wrap?

A

A partial wrap does not cover the entire vehicle. For instance, the graphics may start at the front edge of the front door, run underneath the windows, and cover the back of the vehicle. With our print and cut technology, we can custom cut around the graphics so they are well-integrated with the base vehicle color and achieve nearly the same impact as a full wrap.

Q

How much does a car wrap cost?

A

The cost of a wrap varies with each vehicle. The key cost drivers are the size, which determines how much material we have to print and laminate, and the difficulty of installation.

You can see some options for vehicle graphics in our portfolio. They range from print and cut graphics or decals to partial wrap to a full wrap.

Q

How long will a Vehicle Wrap last?

A

A good wrap made from high quality materials and professionally installed will last 3-5 years. Window graphics will last 2-3 years, if they are laminated.

Q

Will a Vehicle Wrap damage the paint?

A

A wrap does not harm the paint, assuming it is in good condition. It is a sheet of vinyl applied over the paint and is like laminating your vehicle. In many ways, the wrap can protect your paint.

Q

How do I design my Vehicle Wrap?

A

In terms of design, we do each one custom for each customer. What works best is to be fairly simple and use large graphics. If you have a logo, supersizing that often works well. Our process is to meet with you to understand your needs and what you like, then come up with a design, share it with you and get feedback, then adjust the design as needed.

Q

Can I wash my car after it is wrapped?

A

Yes, you can wash your car one week after it has been wrapped. A soft sponge or hand washing with warm soapy water with a gentle rinse works best. You should avoid high pressure washes.

Q

Can you design a car wrap for me?

A

Yes. A full car wrap generally takes between 3-4 hours to lay out, depending on the complexity of the design.

Q

Is a vehicle wrap removeable?

A

Yes! Vehicle wraps can be removed when you are ready to have a new wrap installed or when you are ready to sell your vehicle. Plus, it does not damage your paint underneath the wrap.

Q

Can you wrap any vehicle?

A

Yes! As long as we can measure it-we can wrap it!

Q

If I have window graphics installed can I roll them down?

A

Yes- you can roll your windows down after having graphics installed. However, we do reccommend that you wait 3 days before doing so.

Q

Can I recieve a proof of my vehicle wrap before final instillation is complete?

A

Yes. Proofs are created on a flat surface and viewed at a relatively tiny size on computer screens and the wrap may vary slightly from the proofs. In cases of curves, handles, deep grooves, or rubber moldings/trim, on-the-spot adjustments may be made by the installer to assure maximum readability or alignment.

Q

Is a vehicle wrap like paint?

A

No. A wrap will not cover like paint. Areas behind gas caps and inside door frames will not be wrapped. Also, there may be overlapping seams, relief cuts, or other evidence that it is vinyl.

Q

Are there areas of my vehicle that cannot be wrapped?

A

Yes. Certain parts of your vehicle, such as plastic door handles, rubber trim, mirrors, porous plastics, and other similar areas may not be able to be wrapped.

Q

How long will it take to wrap my vehicle?

A

After we have approval from you on the artwork for your wrap it takes us 2 days to print and 1 day to install. So we only need your vehicle for 24 hours or less depending upon size.

Q

How long does the wrap process take to complete?

A

The wrap process can vary in time to complete.

We start by getting art finalized and approved by working with our client and using proofs to ensure the layout.

Once the art is approved it typically takes about a week to get the installation completed.

After art is approved we can get an installation date set and then we require a deposit so we can begin printing. Once the art is printed we let the ink cure for 24 hours before we laminate it. Once it is laminated we can cut it so it is ready for install.

For the install, we typically like to have the vehicle to be wrapped the night before so we can secure it in our bay where it will be kept clean and dry for a quicker install the next day. Our installer comes in on the day of install and unless we state otherwise, the wrap should be completed by close of business (5:00pm) the same day as the install began.

*If we come across any complications we try to get in touch with our clients as soon as possible to let them know about any set-backs. We also try to keep them updated throughout the installation so they can plan their day accordingly.
